We start our process by doing a few things with our potential client. Let’s just assume for this post that is YOU!
The very first thing I would have you do is fill out our customer profile.
This is really gold, not just for us – but for you, the potential client as well. This document is a bit lengthy, but it really forces a business to put on paper ideas, plans, hopes, and goals. It forces a conversation which to many have not even begun to think about half of the topics covered. Lastly, it gives the you, the potential client, a clear path for identifying who you are expecting to do what – and let me tell you that so many businesses have not really nailed that part down. Many businesses know it has to be done, but have not considered who will complete it.
I should point out that some digital marketing firms charge hundreds (and a few we have come across actually charge several thousands) of dollars for similar discovery sessions. Completing this checklist and then reviewing it with Morrison Digital Marketing is a completely free resource for you, the potential client.
The second thing I suggest are a few books (most are free + shipping) and some have follow on programs for them – it is your choice to read them and opt to follow through with any of the offered programs. These books are not difficult to read, they are geared towards exactly what we do, and what you are trying to do, and I really do believe they will help clarify your situation and provide you the boost you need to grow.
Again that advice is free and very well may help you, the potential client, gain knowledge about yourself, develop parts of your business and be a more engaged and informed customer.

I started to discover all the places I was leaving money on the table, or that I hadn’t set the right value and rates for my services.
Affiliate marketing is a game that almost every legitimate business, from the very small to very large (e.g., Home Depot, Amazon), uses to bring people to their door step at the recommendation of others.
I use this as an additional opportunity to gain income or some credit from of a sale from a product I have used, tested, and put my recommendation behind. I recommend that you do the same through your business – why not? If you do honest business, then any referral you make is to a program you believe in and you would share it anyway – you might as well get something for it.
